Cookies Notice

Effective as of June 1, 2026

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, and provide information to website owners. Cookies do not typically contain information that personally identifies you, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to information stored in and obtained from cookies.

In addition to cookies, we also use other similar tracking technologies such as pixel tags, web beacons, and software development kit (SDK) tags. For simplicity, all of these are referred to collectively as "cookies" in this Notice unless otherwise specified. For a full description of each technology type, please see Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.

2. WHO SETS COOKIES ON OUR SITE?

Cookies on our Service are set either by Promowise directly ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services we use, such as analytics providers and advertising platforms ("third-party cookies"). First-party cookies are set under the promowise.com domain. Third-party cookies are set under the domain of the respective provider and are governed by that provider's own privacy and cookies policies.

3. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES WE USE

We use four categories of cookies, described below. Essential cookies are always active. All other categories require your consent where required by applicable law (including the EU/UK GDPR and ePrivacy Directive).

Essential (strictly necessary)

These cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block these cookies, but parts of the Service will not work as a result.

Functional

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your language and region preferences. If you disable these cookies, some services may not function properly.

Analytics

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of the Service. All information is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our site and will not be able to monitor performance.

Marketing

These cookies may be set through our Service by advertising partners, including Meta, Google, and LinkedIn. They may be used by those partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertising on other sites. They do not store personal information directly, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

6. HOW TO MANAGE YOUR COOKIE PREFERENCES

Consent manager

When you first visit our Site, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You may accept all categories, accept only essential cookies, or customize your preferences by category. You can update your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Notice" link in the footer of our Site.

Browser settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find cookie controls in your browser's "Privacy," "Security," or "Tools" menu. Note that blocking all cookies will impact the functionality of many websites, including ours. Browser-level controls do not prevent server-side tracking.

Platform-level opt-outs

You may opt out of interest-based advertising from our advertising partners directly through their platforms:

  • Google: google.com/settings/ads
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram): facebook.com/adpreferences
  • LinkedIn: linkedin.com/psettings/advertising
  • Network Advertising Initiative (NAI): optout.networkadvertising.org
  • Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA): optoutbrowser.aboutads.info
  • European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA): youronlinechoices.eu

Industry opt-out tools

You may also use the following industry-wide opt-out tools to limit interest-based advertising from participating companies:

Google Analytics opt-out

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Mobile devices

On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking to limit ad tracking. On Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization. These device-level settings limit certain third-party tracking but may not affect all tracking technologies used in our Service.

7. DO NOT TRACK

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. Because there is no industry-wide standard for how websites should honor DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. We will continue to monitor developments in this area.

8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Some of the third-party providers listed in this Notice (such as Google and Meta) are based in the United States or other countries outside your jurisdiction. When their cookies or tags collect and transmit data, that data may be processed in those countries. We rely on lawful transfer mechanisms (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and require our providers to maintain appropriate data protection safeguards. For more information, see Section 17 of our Privacy Policy.

9. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE

We may update this Cookies Notice from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Notice on our Site with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Notice periodically.
